"Bokanovsky's Process is one of the major instruments of social stability!"
The above quote was said by the Director to a child in Ch. 1. The director is trying to explain to the child what Bokanovsky's process is and to understand what they do. It justifies a meaning to a child's ability to learn something new and different. The director wants the child to acknowledge the Social Stability of Bokanovsky's process in life.
"They say somebody made a mistake when he was still in the bottle-thought he was a Gamma and put alcohol into his blood surrogate. That's why he's so stunted."
This was said by Fanny to Lenina in Ch.3. She is explaining to Lenina the mistake that had been made with the bottle because someone? came out so stunted, not being themself. Fanny was letting Lenina know that the alcohol was not supposed to be placed inside his blood surrogate.
"I'm glad I'm not an Epsilon!”
Lenina was excited when she told Henry, she is glad she is not an Epsilon. The Epsilons are considered the worst in the caste system.They are semi-morons only made suitable for manual labor. Epsilons were selectively bred to derive joy from accomplishing simple tasks like operating an elevator. A plus was simply a tad more intelligent than a minus. This was spoken in Ch.5 from Lenina.
"Queer," "Very queer."
It was her ordinary word of con-demnation. She did not like the Indian man whom was the guide that was appointed to take them up to the pueblo. Lenina thought that he was very hostile and sullenly contemptuous. She wasn't fond of him, she told Bernard in Ch.7
"The - Nile - is - the - longest - river - in - Africa - and - the - second - in - length - of - all - the - rivers - of - the - globe ..." The words come rushing out. "Although - falling - short - of ..."
The above quote is taken out of Brave New World Ch. 2 from the Director to Tommy about the Nile River. The director is trying to help Tommy understand which River is the longest in the United States. It withholds a significance importance to the dirctor and the process he is trying to justify. Tommy is having trouble tryin to remember which river is the longest so the director precides it in a singing matter to help Tommy remember.
, "you do look glum! What you need is a gramme of soma."
Benito had told Bernard that he looked glum and that he should take a gramme of Soma. Soma is a drug to calm down your insitincts and to relax you from stress. It also helps to recover your energy. Following what Benito said,Bernard decided to take some from Benito. CH.4
"A gramme is always better than a damn"
Lenina had told Bernard this quote in Ch.6 how a gramme is better than nothing to help make you stress-free or to at least feel like it. She believes that Soma is a helping antoxicadiant to humans and can be used to ensure health, she recommends it and she thinks others should be open to it.
"Oh, don't cry, Linda. Don't cry."
A character in the story had told Linda the above quote. Linda feels like they are taking away her men and that sje cannot engage with them. She started to go, by this time she was talking to herself, feeling sorry for herself through her tears. Ch.8

Bernard was speaking of Lenina in Ch.9 as she was lying on the bed in her pink pajammas. Bernard described her as touchingly childish. Bernard was speaking of his love towards Lenina. He was falling in love, so it seems.
